Pricing guide

How much does mobile app development cost in India?

There's no single price for an app — a simple enquiry app and a two-sided marketplace are very different projects. This guide explains how we price app development, what typical budgets can cover, and the factors that move the final number.

Our starting point

Projects start from ₹20,000. After a free consultation, you receive a written scope and a fixed, itemised quote in INR before any work begins — so you know exactly what you're paying for.

If a new idea comes up during the project, we discuss and price it with you before building it. That's how we keep our promise of no surprise invoices.

Indicative budget ranges

These ranges show what different budgets typically make possible. They're a starting point for a conversation, not a quote.

Budget
₹20,000 – ₹50,000A focused first version: a small set of core screens, simple sign-in, a catalogue or content section and enquiry flows — ideal for testing an idea with real users.
₹50,000 – ₹1,00,000An MVP with a custom backend: user accounts, a basic admin panel for your team, push notifications and a single payment or booking flow.
₹1,00,000 – ₹2,00,000A fuller business app: online payments and orders, separate roles for customers and staff, third-party integrations and a richer admin dashboard.
₹2,00,000+Marketplaces and complex platforms: multiple apps (for example customer and provider), real-time tracking or chat, and complex business workflows.

Indicative only. Your fixed quote depends on your exact features, platforms and integrations.

What affects the final quote

  • Screens and user flows

The number of screens and journeys — sign-up, browsing, checkout, profile — is the biggest driver of effort.

  • Backend and admin panel

Apps that store data, manage orders or let your team update content need a server, database and admin panel.

  • User roles

Each extra type of user, such as staff, delivery partners or service providers, adds screens and permissions.

  • Payments

Online payments, refunds, wallets or subscriptions add work on both the app and the backend.

  • Integrations

Maps, OTP login, WhatsApp or SMS notifications, CRMs and delivery services each need to be connected and tested.

  • Real-time features

Live order tracking, chat and instant updates are more complex than standard screens.

  • Design depth

Custom illustrations, animations and detailed branding take more design time than a clean, standard interface.

  • Platforms

We usually build one cross-platform codebase for Android and iOS, which costs much less than two native apps.

Costs to plan for beyond the build

A realistic budget includes a few running costs that are separate from development.

  • Store developer accounts

Google Play charges a one-time registration fee and Apple an annual membership fee, paid directly to them.

  • Hosting and servers

Apps with a backend need hosting. The monthly cost depends on your usage and usually starts small.

  • Third-party services

Payment gateways charge per transaction, and services such as SMS OTP or maps may bill based on usage.

  • Maintenance

Apps need occasional updates for new Android and iOS versions. You can choose an ongoing support plan or handle it in-house.

How to keep the cost under control

Launch the smallest version that solves the main problem, then grow it based on what real users do. Our MVP app development approach is built around exactly that, and a focused MVP can be delivered in approximately 2–4 weeks.

Building for Android and iOS together with Flutter app development also avoids paying twice for the same features.

  • Prioritise must-have features and keep a written list for later versions.
  • Use proven services for payments, login and notifications instead of building them from scratch.
  • Have your content — product details, prices, images — ready before development starts.
  • Release in phases, so each budget step delivers something users can actually use.
FAQ

Common questions

Something else on your mind? Ask us on your free consultation.

Can I really get an app built for ₹20,000?

Yes, for a focused scope — for example a small number of core screens without a complex backend. During the consultation we'll tell you honestly whether your idea fits that budget, and what a realistic first version would include.

Is your quote fixed?

Yes. You get a written scope and a fixed, itemised quote in INR before work begins. If you want to add something during the project, we price it with you first, so there are no surprise invoices.

Does building for both Android and iOS double the cost?

No. We usually build one cross-platform codebase that runs on both, so you pay for most features once. There's some extra testing and store preparation for the second platform, which your quote includes.

Why do app quotes in India vary so much?

Quotes often describe different things — some cover only the app screens, others include the backend, admin panel, store publishing and support. Compare what's included, not just the total. Our itemised quote lists each part separately.

Are there yearly costs after launch?

Usually yes: Apple's annual developer fee, hosting if your app has a backend, and any usage-based services. Ongoing support from us is optional. We'll estimate these running costs with you during planning.

Can I build my app in phases?

Yes, and it's often the smartest way to spend. We can plan a first version that fits your current budget and design it so later phases build on it rather than replacing it.
